Civic duty of the day
Until this year, I was not registered to vote. Really, I just didn't care.
Now that you all think I am evil, I'll continue.
A couple of months ago, I spoke to my mom.
Mom: Mark, I want you to vote this year. I don't care who you vote for. But you better vote!
Me: Mom, I hate waiting in lines, and voting is a hassle. If you
really care who wins an election, you should just give money. I live in
California, which is going for Kerry anyway. And they pick jury pools
out of the voter registration lists!
Mom: I don't care. I want you to vote!Soon afterward, I was at the post office to send a package. Waiting in
line, as usual. I saw a voter registration form there, so I reluctantly filled it
out and mailed it in.Sure enough, I have been summoned for jury service.

i'm glad you registered to vote. i'm surprised that you've never voted! by the way, my parents get jury summons all the time even though they're not even u.s. citizens. i hear they randomly pick from the dmv registration.
I never vote and I still get picked for jury selection. I had to stay the whole week.
I will train myself to think that everyone who on trial is guilty. Besides, why else would they be there?
Haha sukas!!! that's why I'll never vote. I'm also planning on sueing frank. since he already thinks he's guilty anyway it should be a slam dunk case. anyone want in on this?
Man, you guys are ruining a perfectly good story. I've read that the jury selection pools are taken from both DMV and voter reg information. So I'm sure I was in the jury pool before, but I am convinced that it was registering to vote that is responsible for my summons.
Dang democracy! Stupid right to a jury of one's peers!
p.s. Choboard, I am with you on this one. I dunno what you want to sue Frank for, but whatever it is, he deserves to lose. We'll follow it up with a criminal case to get him behind bars for life.
Lately he has been trying to clear a space for him to get promoted by getting his boss drunk on chocolate brandy beans at the office.
What is next? Crystal meth for the department head? Crack for the VP? Frank must be stopped!
FrankLu99 is always innocent. Why else would he plea not guilty?
Whatever. When you're being interviewed for jury selection, just tell the lawyers that you hate white people/black people/Hispanics/women/whoever.
But I like white people!
