  • Only in Tunica

Everyone knows what a Rice Krispie treat is. But only in Tunica, Mississippi have I seen a Froot Loop treat.

Who was the chef who tasted a Rice Krispie treat and said, “the problem with this dessert is that it is not sweet enough?”
I want to shake his hand. He gave me a full day’s supply of Vitamin C.

wanna go visit one (or both, if they both interest you) of these places while you’re here in dallas? i’ve never been myself, so it’ll be a fresh event for me, too.
this is kathy, by the way. good meeting you on sunday!!!

  • i was sure that i could go for dinner yesterday, but now i’m not sure.  definitely going to the cupcake/bakery place(s), though.  see ya tomorrow!

  • So many flavors of cupcakes. You’ve tried all of them Mark?

  • LA Cupcake tour

I tried red velvet and carrot cake from Sprinkles. I also baked cupcakes using their red velvet and their chocolate peppermint recipes. All were good, except the chocolate peppermint, which came out dry. I must have overbaked that batch.

  • Hey, I just realized who you were on xanga =P (this is Margaret, who met up with your group at Starbucks when you were visiting Mike in Dallas).  Hope you enjoyed your trip to Dallas… always good to meet another MIT person.  ;P

  • I’m finally going to subscribe to you. How ’bout them cupcakes? hehe.
Thanks for your insightful comment on nerds. But… to be honest, I didn’t understand the part about how it’s okay to be Chuck (plus, is it not ChuckY?) or Tina Fey, but who wants to be Rain Man?
I loled on the nerd vs. nerdture. I think I thought about saying that, too, but didn’t want to overdo it. Thanks for taking that role on for me. ;)

  • hahha. Possibly. You may be right. Chuck and Tina Fey are still considered cool, but Rain Man is just sad. Actually, when I said “but let’s not take that too seriously” I just didn’t want people to think that I crushed on all nerds. I didn’t want all nerds to get weirded out by me. Then again, maybe you’re somewhat right about me not really wanting to be with the socially incompetent, bad hygiene, immature REAL THING? The thing is, nerds are usually kind of funny in their oblivious, seemingly innocent ways, and though passive, still kind of.. yeah – cute.
Mark.. truth be told – I’m not a nerd, yet I’m socially awkward, or so some think (i.e. Mike). What does that make me? Dork? I almost don’t want to know the answer… eek.

  • Oh, also… don’t forget that there is the category of the Hot Nerd, perhaps like a guy from CSI who behind those glasses and comp geek voice, is really good lookin’. Hm… I never knew that you could analyze nerds this deeply.
